A rough outline of how the presentation will go is it will
be split up into four parts with each of us having a separate piece to say. Our
official topic is how overuse of social media has negatively affected the millennial
generation. The presentation will be split into the following: overuse of
social media, challenges that teens have taken part in, our generation versus
ones before us, and solutions. My section is the overuse of social media and
what I will briefly talk about is both the negative and positive influences of
social media in today’s society (with a heavier focus on the negative side.) I will
discuss the pressure that the youth put on themselves to get the “perfect photo”
and a certain amount of likes on a photo. The youth compare themselves to
others on social media to an extreme degree. However, social media can also be
used to connect individuals throughout the world, and news is spread throughout
the world today faster than ever. There are several more topics to argue for
both sides that I will delve slightly deeper into when I present.
